How To Beat a Dead Horse- Demo

I bought a few cds from this one guy a couple weeks ago, and this was one of them. The main reason I bought this is because next to the cd it said ex-CTTS. Naturally being interested, I decided to buy it since you know, CTTS (Circle Takes the Square, cmon) isn't ever going to release new material ever again.

Popped it in and fuck me this is really good. Pretty much in line with the whole emo-violence etc. screamo bullshit, it puts its head above the rest by actually not sounding like the rest of the bands who try and pull off this sound (Orchid, etc.)

download and enjoy the jams

ps: this probably doesn't have the track list
1. Storybook Ending
2. This Fine Print
3. When Doctors Need Their Own Medicine
4. White Mice
5. Line and Latitude
6. At This Time We Cannot Discuss Your Future Demise
7. Liars Make Great Actors
8. Jim Light's Dim Afternoon

Ten Grand- The Comprehensive List of Everyone Who Has Ever Done Anything Wrong to Us

You guys ready for a bold statement? Emotive hardcore would be a lot more mainstream today if Matt Davis didn't die.

Seriously.

This album is fucking incredibly, probably the finest piece of work that The Vidablue/Ten Grand put out (they changed their name from the first one to Ten Grand because a shitty jam band with members of Phish wanted the name for guess it... 10 grand). It includes everything you'll ever want, a computer voice listing people who have wronged the band (from The Get Up Kids to that asshole who stole Scott Lawerncson's Playstation!), to some really fantastic vocals from Matt Davis.

Sadly, Matt Davis died after suffering from an aneurysm at the age of 24, stoping this band from ever reaching it's true potential.

p.s.: anyone how has their album 'What I Should Have Said Volume One', be a bro and get it to me.

A Fine Boat, That Coffin!- The Second Nail

Some crazy (germans!) wack-job combination of screamo, mathcore, grindy-noise that sounds so much better then that shitty description I just wrote out. Some crazy rhythms over awesome lyrics.

Portraits of Past- Cypress Dust Witch

This is bigger then maudlin of the Well releasing a new album. If you like screamo at all it is damn near impossible to not appreciate what this band has done for the genre.

An Embrace of Angels- The Graceful Art of Failure

Fucking awesome screamo from Sioux Falls, SD. All thanks go to Ryan (guitar) for uploading this album to the internet, for without him, this would be impossible to find. This album has a lower quality and doesn't flow as well as Ere' January Be Unwintered, but it still rules.

The Graceful Art of Failure

As a bonus, Ryan uploaded the artwork that Ere' January Be Unwintered would've had if it had seen an actual release. It comes with lyrics to the whole album.

The Nightmare Scenario Discography

This is something fucking special. Late 90s emotive hardcore/screamo. Guitar work and drumming is incredibly and the spoken word vocals contrast incredibly well with the screams. Lyrics are amazing as well.

Kidcrash Discography

Kidcrash are quite possibly the best band to ever come out of the genre of emo/screamo/whinyfaggotbullshit. Next to City of Caterpillar and Damezumari, they're one of the best ever. Here is everything that they've released so far, in order from favorite to least favorite.

I haven't had a date in 4 years Goldie Hawn Goldie Hawn Goldie Hawn... EP

Demo
Mispellings (Split 5" w/ Arse Moreira (or however the fuck you spell it))
Heavy Nugs and Heavy Chugs (Split w/ L'Antietam)
Split 10" w/ Coffin Dancer (Coffin Dancer side slays)
New Ruins

New Ruins is really pop-punk and stuff, and it's from a time when the band was known as "The Kidcrash." After getting fucked over by Lujo Records, they dropped the "The" from their name and became even more fucking badass.

Sailboats- Demo

It's really a shame what death can do. Sailboats created a 2 song demo and while on tour two members of their band died in a car accident. The drummer now plays in Loma Prieta.

In short, this band fucking rips. They only have 2 songs, yet have close to 40,000 plays on last.fm.

Four Hundred Years- The New Imperialism

Four Hundred Years were a pretty awesome, and underrated, band from the 90s. This is my favorite release by them. It sounds like a pretty mellow screamo/post-hardcore/punk combination, and you can definitely hear a Fugazi influence.

But then again, who the fuck hasn't been influenced by Fugazi?

the Pax Cecilia- Nouveau

The first three songs on Blessed Are The Bonds may be better (hell, those songs fucking stomp), but this whole album together blows Blessed right out the fucking water no problem. Not easily as pretentious as Blessed (god, the fucking Water Song) and I actually enjoy the writing on this album better then Blessed.

Oh, and England: Theatre of the Air is just... damn. wow. This is one of my favorite albums ever and rightfully so.
